At Strata Sense, we recognise that the growth and development of our team are paramount. It’s not just about your professional expertise and goals; we aim to foster your personal enrichment as well. Investing in your growth not only enhances your individual capabilities, but it bolsters the overall effectiveness and resilience of the team as a whole.
Here is a bit of insight as to what you can expect from Strata Sense when it comes to professional and personal growth:
1. Training and workshops
Providing regular training sessions and workshops is a cornerstone of our training, but we understand it can get repetitive and feel more like a chore at times. To keep things exciting we aim to deliver these training sessions in a number of different formats from round-tables at each Friday team meeting, using online, interactive platforms to walk you through processes and systems, one on ones with various team members during on boarding, bringing third party experts in to run training sessions and of course arranging your attendance at seminars and workshops that either benefit you in your role, or might simply pique your interest.
These sessions cover a wide range of topics relevant to strata management, including legal updates, industry best practices, communication skills, conflict resolution, and customer service excellence. By staying updated and enhancing your skill sets, you and your fellow employees are better equipped to handle the complexities of their roles and deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Training sessions are typically open to all team members – even if your expertise is in accounting, we welcome your interest in expanding your knowledge!
2. One on Ones, Feedback and Performance Reviews
Mentorship plays a crucial role in guiding the professional growth of our employees. Through our monthly one-on-ones, team leaders are paired with newer staff, offering valuable insights, advice, and support. This personalized guidance not only accelerates learning but also fosters a sense of camaraderie and teamwork within the organization.
Constructive feedback is essential for personal and professional growth. In addition to the monthly one-on-ones, where we ensure to touch base and provide feedback on strengths, areas for improvement, and goal-setting, we conduct annual reviews to take stock and celebrate how far you’ve come and where you want to go. These reviews are conducted in a supportive and constructive manner, empowering employees to take ownership of their development journey and work towards continuous improvement.
3. Career Progression
We believe in promoting from within whenever possible. Our employees are encouraged to pursue advancement opportunities within the company, whether through vertical career progression or lateral moves that allow for skill diversification. By offering clear paths for career advancement, we empower our team members to set ambitious goals and strive for excellence in their roles.
4. Continued Education
We understand the importance of lifelong learning in today’s dynamic business landscape. That’s why we offer support for employees pursuing further education, whether it’s obtaining professional certifications, attending industry conferences, or enrolling in relevant courses. There are plenty of pathways that compliment strata management such as project management, accounting and even an MBA! By investing in their continuous learning journey, we ensure that our team members remain at the forefront of industry developments and trends.
5. Team events
It’s not all about the strata manager’s here in our office. We’ve got a team of inspiring and bright support staff who we could not function without. Throughout the year we have a number of team events where the whole office will up and leave for the afternoon to spend time together sailing boats, treasure hunt, play rip-tag, stuff themselves with food and just generally enjoy some time off as a team together.
The real highlight of the year, however, is the Company Retreat where we enjoy several days away from home on in luxury on the Central Coast, enjoying the sunshine whilst glamping or fending off ghosts and learning the history of Q-Station. During the Company Retreat we take stock of who we are as a team, what our values are and we hear from everyone what direction they want the company to travel so that everyone understands the integral role their personal growth and professional development plays at Strata Sense.
6. Squad Activities
Building a close-knit team is more than just a pleasant perk of the job; it’s a crucial factor in the success and effectiveness of each individual feeling valued, supported and engaged. At Strata Sense we recently introduced “Squads” and throughout the year you and your squad will compete to earn your place on the winners podium!
With your squad, you’ll have time for creative challenges like cook-offs and putting together the best “trick” at Halloween. Your squad members will also get to know your strength (or weakness) at rip-tag, how quickly you can run 2km or how heavy you can deadlift! It’s up to you how much you put into these challenges, but it’s a great way for our team members to engage with each other and connect outside of the usual work space.
7. Community Engagement Perks
Personal growth extends beyond the workplace. We encourage our employees to engage with their communities through volunteering and charitable initiatives. These opportunities not only contribute to personal fulfillment but also foster empathy, leadership skills, and a sense of social responsibility among our team members. We offer a charitable donation matching scheme and have a team of eager supporters for any charity drives you might want to introduce.
Strata Sense are committed to nurturing the growth and development of our employees both professionally and personally wherever we can. By offering a comprehensive range of development opportunities we not only invest in the success of the organisation, but the success and strength of our individuals.
