Happy New Year! From the entire Strata Sense team we hope you had a truly fabulous festive season and that 2018 will bring you prosperity and joy.
2017, a year not to be forgotten.
Globally speaking, 2017 felt like a year of much social movement, both overseas and domestically. We saw the inauguration of, seemingly, the most controversial President of the United States, ever. North Korea, the #metoo movement, the duel citizenship drama, and the same sex marriage survey (and win!). It was a big year for change, and quite possibly, if the Golden Globes are any indication, just the start of it.
Towards the end of 2017 we also saw the flattening of the housing market in Sydney, particularly in strata buildings. Predicted by most experts to continue into 2018. Having said that, high quality, great apartment stocks continue to move and we saw a number of our clients sell apartments for record pricing, even at the end of the year. What has become obvious is that apartments offering unique styling and lifestyle with solid management are continuing to attract keen buyers.
2017 was another exciting year of growth and change for Strata Sense. We welcomed Joanne Jenkins and Qing Liu to our team. We celebrated the birth of Toby Stanford’s little girl and Daniel Holt’s wedding. We were once again finalists in the Strata Awards for Excellence, and were delighted when Daniel won Rising Star.
The new legislation also provided us an opportunity to use technology to improve how we can connect with you. We have implemented online meeting streaming, pre-meeting electronic voting and new communication platforms to allow owners greater accessibility and easier communications with each other, the building managers and our team.
Our thanks to you for your support in 2017. We appreciate the trust you put in us to do the very best by your investments, and in return promise you we always will.

Improving our Service Offering
2017 was an adjustment year for strata practitioners as we all incorporated the new legislation into our management services. 2018 for Strata Sense will be a year of change as we redesign our service delivery model to bring you more expert advice, greater efficiencies and improved communication platforms. We’re ‘throwing out the book’ on all things traditional when it comes to strata management to completely revamp how we can serve you.
We want your strata ownership experience to not be another chore, but rather an enhancement to your purchase which provides you with a service you can have confidence in.
If you have any ideas of something we can do which will make your strata ownership easier, please do contact us and let us know. We’d love to hear from you.
Here’s to a 2018 full of success and joy, whatever those may be for you.
